or you could relocate the solenoids to another location (still connected electrically) and remove those huge brackets. I seem to remember I re-used the very top part of the bracket because it acts as a mount for something.
If the solenoids are still electrically connected (but boost/vacuum disconnected) this should solve your fault code problem.
